Part 1. That feeling when you wake up, open your eyes, and it's still true. Then dread and emptiness and disorientation overwhelm you for a few moments. You recognize this feeling as grief. And you acknowledge it. At some point, you slowly sit up and put your feet on the floor. You wait. Then you remind yourself how you have recovered from other unbearable losses in your life. And you put one foot in front of the other and step into the day. 

And healing becomes available.
