the thing occurred.

 

Unseen forces

cause havoc in the shadows

taking shelter in the masses

while covering their asses

and their shame.

 

The pronoun balks

             careens off

                     escapes

through                               gaping holes

 

in language.

 

Mistakes were made

Lies were told

Results were achieved

Elections were sold.​
 

Probes done

Plea deals made

Pardons granted

Country betrayed.
