Gathering In The Stories chronicles the lives of members of the Duke University Health System community who have felt the impact of Martin Luther King, Jr. and the Civil Rights Movement. Some of the stories tell of social turmoil, others of quiet self-discovery. In some, people change the world; in others, the world changes them. These stories remind us that change is made possible by the courageous responses of ordinary people.
